Carl A. Erickson February 22, 1928 - January 27, 2017
Updated On: Apr 115, 2017
Carl A. Erickson, Jr. 88

GREAT FALLS —Carl A. Erickson, 88, passed away the morning of January 27, 2017 at Peace Hospice. He died how he lived, peacefully and quietly, surrounded by his family.

Carl was born February 22, 1928 to Carl and Jessie Erickson in Stockett, MT. He lived his early years in Stockett, graduating from Centerville High School and attending college in Bozeman for one year before enlisting in the Navy. He served 4 years in the US Navy, traveling through the Mediterranean and Europe.

After his discharge, he returned to Montana. He married the love of his life, Anna May Rehor in 1954. He worked for Mosch Electric in Great Falls for years. He worked with his brother, Bob, at Bob’s Enterprises installing garage doors and insulation. He completed his working career with J.R. Insulation. Carl was a “jack of all trades”. In his vocabulary, he never said ‘I can’t”, “I don’t know how” or “I don’t have time”. He was never too busy to visit a sick friend, to help a kid in the neighborhood, or a friend in need. He was a Heritage Member of First United Methodist Church and worked with the Scouts, Sunday school and on the Mission and Education Commissions.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anna May; sons, Mark (Libbi) and Andy (Pam); grandchildren, Max, Kelby, Oakley, Camber and Carli; sister, Betty Marshall of Great Falls and brother, Bob of Arizona, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Howard and Doug and sister, Shirley.

Our sincere gratitude to Peace Hospice and the entire caring staff who made his last month “peaceful and quiet”. God Bless you all. Cremation has taken place at Croxford’s Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Papa, we will all miss you, but you have enlightened all of our lives with your gentle, kind and honest demeanor. God’s Peace!

Condolences may be shared with the family at www.croxfordfuneralhome.com
