On July 28, 2016 Walter J. Ely beloved husband of 74 years to Dorothy Ely; devoted father of Richard Ely and his wife Marlyn, Dorothy Sullivan and her husband Carl, and Carol Scharoun and her husband Louis; dear brother of Eugene Ely and the late Charles and Edward Ely and Catherine Cavey; also survived by 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may gather at Schimunek Funeral Home 9705 Belair Rd. Nottingham, MD 21236 on Monday 3-5 and 7-9 PM where the Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Parkwood Cemetery.
