One of the most important rights we enjoy as citizens of Montana and the USA is the right to vote for the people who make and uphold our laws. This right is the foundation upon which our democratic form of government is based. Many people in the world do not share this right. It's a civic duty we should all feel privileged to perform.

Mark "Sparky" D. Maeder

GREAT FALLS — Mark "Sparky" D. Maeder, 62, of Great Falls, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017.

Memorial service will be Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel with burial of ashes to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Mark attended schools in Great Falls at St. Joseph's through sixth grade, then at West Junior High and on to CMR where he graduated. He apprenticed into the electrical trade and became a Journeyman. He worked at this trade all of his life, traveling to find work. His livelihood was cut short by a debilitating accident a year ago.

He was married two times, both ending in divorce with no children.

Mark loved the outdoors recreating in the Little Belt Mountains, snowmobiling, ATVing, motor biking, camping, hunting, and fishing. He was proficient at playing pool, enjoying it and winning trophies during tournaments. He enjoyed rock and roll, and had many favorite songs and groups.

He is survived by his mother, K. JoAn Maeder; siblings Michael W. Maeder, Roslyn Marie "Lynn" Rolland, Niles W. Maeder, and Tina S. (Lorenz) Redfern; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins too numerous to mention by name.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Fred W. Maeder in November 2012.

May he rest in peace.

Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.SchniderfuneralHome.com.
