altVictor Lossing, a former Havre resident, died June 27, 2012, at Kingman Regional Medical Center Hospice in Kingman, Ariz.

He was born Oct. 29, 1926, in Redstone, Mont.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving from 1944 to 1946. He was honorably discharged as an electrician's mate third class on May 18, 1946.

He later joined the Merchant Marines in 1947 as a fireman/oiler.

He graduated from Farragut Naval Electrical Training School in 1944, Northern Montana College with a electronics degree in 1964 and Industrial Training Institute in Chicago in 1964.

He worked for 55 years in the electrical trade with a master electrician's license. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 233 and 393.

He ran the electric shop for Goggins and Pennie in Havre for eight years.

He worked as a journeyman electrician at the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Plant, worked at Vanderburg Launch Pad for the space shuttle program.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Irene; his sons, Neal (Cathy) of Buckeye, Ariz., Wayne (Eileen) of Havre, Marc (Christine) Arroyo Grande, Calif., Lyle of Havre, and Gerald (Jamie) of Visalia, Calif. ; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Anna Lossing, four brothers, Paul, Dale, Leland and Jerome; a daughter, Jael Yvonne in 2003.
