Delbert Peck 2/9/1936-4/22/2015
May 16, 2015

Delbert Peck, 79, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in Great Falls.

A vigil service will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at O’Connor Memorial Chapel.  Funeral liturgy will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Delbert was born February 9, 1936 in Polson, MT to LeRoy and Julia Peck. After graduating from Great Falls High School in 1954, he joined the Navy and served with his brother Vernon on the U.S.S. Cogswell DD 651. Following his service, Delbert began an electrician apprenticeship with Rainbow Electric and worked for Cascade Electric as an electrician and estimator until his retirement in 1997.

On May 2, 1959, he married Lorrie Ranieri. They had four children.

Delbert was an active member of the IBEW Electrical Union for 55 years and one of the founding members of the Black Eagle Fire Department. He enjoyed camping with his family and spending time with his sons in the local Boy Scout troop. When not cheering on his Denver Broncos or watching the history channel, Delbert could be found at his cabin in Limestone Canyon where he loved to hunt, ride his 4-wheeler, mow the lawn, and tinker around. His love for hunting and fishing was often shared with his brother Vernon and best friend Don Heagy.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a caring friend to all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Lorrie; sons Rory, Rick, Randy, and Rod; daughters-in-law; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother Marvin; sister Julie (Montie) Berg; brother-in-law Toots (Debra) Ranieri; sisters-in-law Doris and Velma Peck and Dodie Ranieri.

He is preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Julia; brother Vernon; and granddaughter Jayleen.

Special thanks to Wendy and her staff at Bee Hive Homes Sage House for all their care and compassion.
