SB 376 - Right to Work Bill

The latest Right to Work (RTW) bill has been assigned to committee and the hearing is scheduled for Friday, February 28 @ 7:00 AM in Senate Room 422. Please contact committee members and be prepared to join us at the Capitol to testify against this bill. The RTW bill is being sponsored by Committee Chair, Senator Mark Noland.

August 7, 2015, The Lord has opened the Gates of Heaven, for His son, Evert Ronald Hetland.

Evert was born and raised in Anaconda, MT, on September 6, 1939. In 1960, he married his high school sweetheart, Phyllis Ann Ehni. They were married for over 55 years and were each other’s best friend. The love they had for each other was amazing, even to this day.

Evert was preceded in death by his parents, Jorgen and Anna Hetland, of Anaconda, MT. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Hetland, sister Eleanor (Alan) Saunders of Jackson Hole, WY, his children, Tamera (John) Lawson of Pleasant Valley, NV, Ronald (Brenda) Hetland of Whitehall, MT, Mark (Jessica) Hetland of Elko, NV, Todd Hetland of Spring Creek, NV, and Kimberly Hetland (Chris Raymond) of Spring Creek, NV. Evert also had 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Evert was a memorable man, who enjoyed the great outdoors, and hunting and fishing with his friends, sons and cousins up in MT. When Evert graduated Anaconda High School, he joined the Navy and served two years active duty and 8 years reserve. During his years of service he traveled all over the world. When he got out of the service, he got his apprentice as an Electrician at the Anaconda Company and worked there until the Smelter closed in 1981.

Evert worked in different towns in MT, as well as different states, on construction until 1987, when he started work at Newmont. He moved his family to Elko in 1988 and he worked at Newmont until he retired in 2005. Evert enjoyed wood working and being around his family. He was a wonderful Husband, Father and Grandfather and he was a great man, who will be missed very much.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 12th at 2:00pm at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 277 Willow St Elko, NV. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations to be given to the Elko Animal Shelter.
