SB 376 - Right to Work Bill

The latest Right to Work (RTW) bill has been assigned to committee and the hearing is scheduled for Friday, February 28 @ 7:00 AM in Senate Room 422. Please contact committee members and be prepared to join us at the Capitol to testify against this bill. The RTW bill is being sponsored by Committee Chair, Senator Mark Noland.

John Joseph Doris December 27, 1917 - March 11, 2017

John J. Doris, age 99 of Jackson Twp., passed away peacefully Saturday, March 11, 2017 at The Village at Greenbriar, Dallas. Mr.

Doris was born in Nanticoke on December 27, 1917 and was the son of the late James and Agnes Lynch Doris. John and his late wife, the former Lucy Bonko, resided in Baltimore, MD prior to moving to Jackson Twp. in the early 1970's.

He was a member of the IBEW Union and worked as an electrician until he retired. John was also a member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

John is survived by daughters, Lucy Palmerino and her companion James Boock and Patricia Rish of Lehman; grandchildren, Pauline Tomko, Donna Martin, Patti Rish, Chandra Palmerino and Pamela Rish; 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 17, 2017 at 10:30 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am from the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2011 State Route 29, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621 with Rev.

John Doris, officiating. Friends may call 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Our Lady of Mt.

Carmel Cemetery, Lake Silkworth. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2011 State Route 29, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621.
