Tom Davies, 68, a lifelong resident of Walkerville, passed away December 27, 2017 after a hard-fought battle with a sudden illness.
Tom was born on July 6, 1949 to Helen (Hoar) and Emerson Davies in Butte, Montana. Tom attended Sherman grade school and Butte High School. Following his graduation in 1967, Tom worked various jobs before pursuing his life-long career as an electrician, which started at the Kelley mine. After the closure of the Anaconda Company, Tom then traveled around the country working on various construction projects. The long rides and wild adventures created many tight lifelong bonds with his union brothers. He finished his career in Butte working for ARC Electric for over 20 years. While working for ARC Electric, Tom made a lasting impact on everyone he was around, especially the young apprentices that learned from his wealth of knowledge. He was truly a master of his craft. For Tom, being an electrician didn't stop with retirement, as he spent many hours volunteering at the new carousel.
